Renée Maroon, Proprietor
Paul met Renée Bollo nearly 30 years ago while residing on the San Francisco Peninsula, and in 2010, they reunited, and married several years later. Paul shared that the “best decision he made in his whole life” was to marry Renée. They shared a unique partnership that was based upon their deep respect for one another’s one-of-a kind personality, their common love of entertaining, and the joy of sharing their beautiful estate as well as their wines.
Renée is dedicated to honoring Paul's legacy with the continued production of Maroon Wines, supporting Napa Valley's family farms, and advocating for several industry organizations.
Kara Krushin, General Manager
Kara joined Maroon Wines in June 2019. An East Coast native, Kara lived in NYC for nearly 18 years working for companies such as Google, Yahoo and Ogilvy, where she held various roles in business, marketing and operations.
She caught the wine bug after enrolling in the WSET course of study, and once she passed Level 3, knew it was time to follow her passion. Kara left the bright lights of the city and moved to Napa in 2018, where she spent a year working as Director at a small, family-owned winery before joining Maroon. When not out and about in CA wine country, Kara loves to travel internationally – especially where there are grapes!
Katharina Anderson, Operations & Wine Club Manager
Katharina joined us in March 2016. With years of tourism and hospitality experience, she rounds out our customer service team. Kat is a native of Giessen, Germany and brings her European flair to Maroon Wines. She relocated to Napa when she married her husband, Nick who hails from St. Helena. They enjoy Napa Valley living with their two boys.
Chris Corley, Winemaker
Chris Corley has been the winemaker of Maroon Wines since our first vintage, and worked with Paul Maroon for 20 years. Chris and his brothers own Corley Family Napa Valley Wines, and he is the winemaker for the brands under this winery’s umbrella: Monticello Vineyards and Corley. Chris’s philosophy to winemaking is to introduce as little manipulation as possible from grape to bottle, and his wines have consistently scored dozens of 90+ ratings each year. He is also leading winemaking projects in both Mexico and Taiwan.
